You must never use unvented cooking appliances in the house such as barbecues, cook stoves, fondues, butane camping lantern, propane or kerosene heaters and lamps because they consume available oxygen They produce carbon dioxide (CO2) and other combustion gases and fumes. Some of them produce big quantities of colorless, odorless and lethal carbon dioxyde. Sterno and cooking appliances fondues, and charcoal-burning appliances are especially dangerous. The room ventilation won’t succeed in getting rid of all fumes coming out of the unvented appliances. Use lamps or cooking and heating appliances that function with propane or oil outside only. Fumes can cause fires, explosions, asphyxia and poisoning.
